Hymn For Strings
Written in April 2014 for Gary Woolf and the Banda Di Musica, the Hymn for strings is dedicated to my husband Bob Green.
As its title suggests, the character of this piece is slow, thoughtful and strong. There is a violin solo throughout, to be played by the Leader, which weaves in and out of the texture.
The parts are of a fairly easy and straightforward standard.
Duration: approximately 6/7 minutes
There are 2 arrangements:
NO. 1 – School Arrangement: Violins 1,2,3 and Cello.
